Diving with Amira

Build and designed by divers for the sole purpose of watersports, Scuba Diving on Amira hits differently. The unique layout of the dive deck and the 3 custum made aluminium tenders make the difference

Here on Amira we strongly believe that a great dive is not only about the dive and the reef itself. It starts with a great dive deck with lots of space, easy access to the diving tenders with out carrying your gear up or down stairs. We just enter the tenders with one step from the dive deck. That´s how we role on Amira.

The vast Indonesian archipelago is situated right in the center of the coral triangle. For that reason Indonesia is the epicenter for marine biodiversity and offers some of the best diving in the world. The reefs contain over 600 species of coral and more than 200 species of reef fish. Areas like Raja Ampat, Komodo, the Banda Sea and the Forgotten Islands are just a small fraction of what divers in Indoensia can explore below and above the surface. From fabulous reefs to wall dives, muck diving, critter hunting and even pelagics can be found.

Diving Amenities

Amira is specifically built for divers and it shows in every detail. A large dive deck with individual stations for each guest gives plenty of spaces to prepare your equipment and store all your items. Your BCD and regulator stay mounted on the tank for the entire trip and are filled there. Towards the aft there two sets of rinse tanks labelled individually for wetsuits, cameras and masks and two outside showers with hot water provide direct comfort after each dive. Photographers especially enjoy the direct access to the camera room with wide benches, power plugs and a tool set. Once you get ready for the dive our crew is welcoming you on the deck and carry your equipment to the speedboats. Cameras, fins and other items are prepared on the tender boats, all you have to do is slip into your wetsuit, check everything is working and complete and focus on enjoying the underwater world

Diving Safety

Our dive organisation builts on safety and comfort. The dive groups are small with a maximum of 5 divers per guide and supported by our Cruise Directors. Our Divemasters are very experienced and focus on all aspects of diving safety and standards. Before each dive the currents and conditions are checked and a thorough briefing is given to all guests. Nitrox and Enos (GPS beacon) are free of charge and spare equipment is always available in case anything is not working perfectly. Our three tenders take out our divers in intervals. These boats are custom built for diving, fast and reliable. The tender drivers are well trained and experienced and follow our groups during each dive, which avoids long waiting times on the surface

PREMIUM COMFORT BEFORE AND AFTER THE DIVE

After every dive when arriving back to Amira our crew is there to welcome you. A fresh juice, tea or hot chocolate is served and your dry towel is waiting for you at your dive station. Enjoy a hot shower and relax while our crew takes care of your equipment.
