AT THE BEGINNING THERE WAS A DREAM
Bruno Hopff worked for many years in Indonesia as a dive instructor. Over time a dream was nurtured to design, build and operate his dive boat. The dream became a reality and Mike Solf, owner of Aquaventure Germany, became his first business partner bringing along a wealth of experience organizing dive trips in Indonesia.
A DREAM BECOMES REALITY
In August 2008, in the South of Indonesia in Bira, began the construction of «Amira». The boat was build entirely out of wood according to ancient Pinisi traditions. The ship builders, all from the same village, have passed on the art of ship building from generation to generation. In September, over the course of six weeks, Amira was moved from shore into the water by means of ancient but technically brilliant techniques. During the following year the interior and final construction was completed in the port of Bira.
REALITY IS A DREAMBOAT, OUR DIVEBOAT
In the spring of 2009, Amira Dive and Travel GmBH was incorporated. At that time new business partners providing vital knowledge of technical and managerial nature could be acquired.
